TDI Air Diluent Closed Circuit Rebreather Diver
Course Unit Specific- Poseidon Discovery MK VI
This is the TDI Diver level certification course for divers wishing to use the MK VI Discovery Closed Circuit Rebreather. The objective of this course is to train divers to develop basic rebreather diving skills appropriate to diving within the normal recreational depth limits for no decompression diving to 30 metres / 100feet using oxygen and an air diluent.
Qualifications of Graduates
Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may use the Poseidon MK VI CCR Air Diluent not to exceed the manufacturer’s designed depth maximum or 30 metres / 100 feet with air diluent. This course is unit specific. Graduates may also enroll in the TDI CCR Decompression Procedures Unit Specific course after meeting the prerequisites for that course.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent
- Have a minimum of 20 logged open water dives
- Be a Nitrox Diver, or equivalent: Nitrox course may be combined with this course!
Course Length - 3 days
- Theory presentations, Rebreather setup
- Pool session
- 4 open water dives (30m) max
After 3 days you will then be qualified on this rebreather to 30m, these rebreathers are available around world to rent or you can buy one for appoximately £4,000 and pack into your hand luggage, they weight just 8 kilos.
