Le premier niveau professionnel, une grande étape.A l' issue du cours PADI Dive Master vous serez qualifier pour guider des plongeurs certifiés,
assister des instructeurs dans leur cours de formations aux plongeurs, organiser les plongées ( préparation de l' équipement prise en charge des
plongeurs donner les briefings de pré-plongées) ainsi que donner des cours de remises a niveau a des plongeurs déjà certifiés.
Chez DJL vous deviendrez un membre de l' équipe. Vous aurez une vision de l' intérieur comment fonctionne le club et plus le temps passera plus vous aurez
de responsabilités.Devenez un membre a part entière du club .Participer a l' entrainement de PADI Dive Master et devenir un professionnel de le plongée
est un engagement sérieux .A la fin de votre formation vous devrez etre responsable et capable d' encadrer des plongeurs certifiés. Entrer dans ce programme
demande une certaine compréhension d' engagement pour réussir.

Sans pour autant avoir du bon temps ! Bien au contraire , nombreux de nos anciens Dive Master Trainee (DMT) se souviennent du bon temps passer avec nous.
un moment fantastique que de franchir le pas de simple plongeur a celui que les plongeurs observent comme un exemple et écoutent ses conseilles .
la durée de la formation interne varie de un a deux mois .Le nombre minimum de plongées requises pour compléter le cours est de 60, parmi nous vous devriez
être aux alentours de 100 après ce laps de temps .

lequel nous travaillons sans oublier la théorie de la décompression .

Vous aurez également circuits d exercices, démontres des exercices suivant les standard instructeur.Dessiner des plans sous marin des sites de plongées,
effectuer un échange d équipement avec un autre plongeur sur une respiration a deux sur un embout , créer un plan d urgence d assistance en cas d accident
de plongée à Koh Tao .Ainsi que de exercices de natation . pas besoin d être un nageur olympique mais simplement etre à l'aise dans l eau.Vous pratiquerez
l' orientation sous-marine et la connaissances des sites autours de Koh Tao .A la fin de votre formation vous emmènerez nos clients pour des plongées
guidées, briefing de pré-plongée direction de la palanquée, découverte des sites et de la vie sous-marine locale.

La plus grosse partie de la formation interne , assister nos instructeurs avec leurs élèves durant leur entrainement .Vous aiderez au cours d Open Water Advanced et Rescue Diver. Vous serez témoin de toutes sortes de difficultés rencontrées par les élèves , vous préparant ainsi a ce qui vous attendra après votre certification.

La structure du cours vous donne un instructeur attitrés qui sera votre "mentor" son rôle , s' assurer que vous ayez le nécessaire pour progresser dans votre cours se formation .Nous repartirons les cours académiques et le travail dans l' eau pour que votre formation s' équilibre .Si vous rencontrer des difficultés sur certains points nous pourrons travailler en suplément pour combler les lacunes .

Vous assisterez aux cours , irez avec tous nos instructeurs, superviserez des élèves de tous horizons .Une des meilleures choses en devenant un professionnel de la plongée est la riche variété des gens que vous rencontrerez.

Fin de journée staff et clients se retrouvent a notre bar piscine regardent les vidéos des cours de la journée, savourent quelques bières bien fraiches et profitent du couché de soleil sur la plage de Sairee ! Après votre certification vous avez le choix ! rester aux alentours de Koh Tao et travailler comme dive master.(DJL fait essaie d employer les très bon DMT certifiés).ou bien de visiter les plus beau sites se plongée du monde , et trouver un emplois où les autres pensent simplement aller en vacances - thailande, philipines, australie, mexique, caraibes, mer rouge ....up to you ! ou alors choisir de passer instructeur ou encore le cours de vidéographe sous-marin .. les possibilités sont sans fin.

PADI Divemaster Course on Koh Tao Thailand

The first professional level in diving is a big step up. By the end of the PADI Divemaster course you will be qualified to lead certified divers, assist instructors with student diver training, organize diving logistics (such as arranging equipment, diver flow and delivering briefings) plus conduct refresher courses for divers that have had an extended period without diving.

At DJL you will become part of our team. You will get a real insight into how the shop runs and as time passes will adopt more and more responsibility, becoming a critical member of our diving staff. Taking a training internship to become a dive professional is a serious commitment - at the end of the course we are signing say that you are capable of looking after other divers. As such you should enter this program understanding the level of commitment needed to succeed.

This doesn't mean that we don't have fun! On the contrary, I and many other dive pros remember our Divemaster Trainee (DMT) days as some of the best we've had! It's a fantastic moment when you make the transition from being just another diver, to someone that customers are looking to as an example and turning to for advice and guidance.

The duration of this internship is one or two months, depending on you! The minimum number of dives required to pass is sixty, but at DJL you should expect to leave with more than 100.

We cover a wide range of detailed diving theory such as physics, physiology, dive equipment, environmental considerations, industry and agency standards which we have to operate within and decompression theory.

Included in your PADI Divemaster course you'll get your own copy of all the student materials that you need, these are 6,000 baht of the 31,000 baht Divemaster course price. That includes:

What's not included;

• Divemaster membership application fee (this is paid directly to PADI when you complete the course which is currently $154 Australian dollars, this may change without notice)
• Accommodation, however we can book you into one of the places we use for the Internship accommodtion that you can see here from 8,000 baht per month

During the Divemaster course

The Divemaster course is accompanied with a comprehensive program of water work.

You'll take part in several skills circuits, getting your demonstrations up to instructor standard. You'll also map a dive site, undertake an underwater equipment exchange with another diver whilst buddy breathing, make an emergency assistance plan for Koh Tao and complete a number of stamina exercises. You don't need to be an Olympic swimmer, but you do need to comfortable in the water. You'll practice underwater navigation and get to know the dive sites around Koh Tao - by the end of the course you'll be leading our customers on guided dives, briefing them, controlling them in the water and showing then all the great marine life around the sites.

The biggest section of the internship is to assist our instructors with student divers in training. You'll help out on Open Water courses, advanced courses and even rescues. You'll witness all sorts of student diver difficulties which will prepare you for life after graduation - if you can deal with these you can deal with anything!

The way we structure the course is that you'll be assigned to one instructor as your mentor. They'll make sure you are getting everything you need and are progressing through your course. We'll mix up the academics and water work so that your course is balanced. If you have areas which need improvement, we can put extra work as you progress.

When assisting on courses you'll get to work with all our instructors, along with students from all over the world. One of the best things about being a dive professional is the rich variety of people that you come into contact with!

Evening time all the staff and customers head down to our bar to watch the days diving video, savor a few cold beers and enjoy the fantastic Sairee Beach sunsets!

After you graduate, the choice is yours! You can stick around on Koh Tao and find work as a Divemaster. At DJL we make a big effort to employ good DMT graduates.

You also have a great means of visiting some of the world's most beautiful spots, finding work where other people only dream of traveling - Thailand, The Philippines, Australia, Mexico, The Caribbean or Red Sea . . . . up to you! You may choose to make the step up to instructor or take a course to become an underwater videographer - the possibilities are endless.
