DPV’s offer a thrilling way to see a lot of underwater territory in a brief amount of time. They scoot you through the water without kicking. Want to visit that offshore reef from the beach? A DPV may be the way to go.

The course covers diver propulsion vehicle dive planning organisation, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards, diver etiquette and how to avoid harming fragile aquatic life. The PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle Diver certification counts toward your Master Scuba Diver rating and is run over 2 open water dives with your instructor.

Course Materials with relevant knowledge reviews completed -(these can be picked up from DJL before the course starts)

A compass is required specialist equipment, please talk to your instructor or a member of Davy Jones Locker staff for advise

What's Next?



Once you've become a DPV Diver you may wish to take part in the Advanced Open Water course to show you other forms of diving. If a certain form of diving, such as Underwater Navigation or Night diving, is of interest then maybe focus in on one of our other Speciality Courses, but if you've been seriously bitten by the bug then maybe you would like to join our Master Scuba Diver Programme, the pinacle of recreational diving.



Course Costs



The cost of the DPV speciality is 6500 Baht and can be held on one day or spread over two days if preferred.
